We follow the Newton Public Schools Calendar for Holiday Closures & School Breaks.

Because the weather forecast may change throughout the course of the day, we DO NOT ALWAYS  follow the school system for weather closures. 

We WILL ALWAYS notify you via email if we are closing for any reason.  Remember to check your email, our web homepage & our social media pages for closures due to inclement weather.

Please check your Studio Director account to make sure you have entered the best email address and that your settings allow emails from the studio.  We recommend adding our email addresses to your address book to prevent them from going to spam.

NOTES ABOUT RECITAL:
  • All Recreational TDA Classes will perform in our annual recital in June 2025.
  • In order to keep our recital shows as brief as possible for our TDA fan club, we have FOUR separate shows on our Recital Day at 10AM, 12:30PM, 3PM & 6PM. 
  • Each class is assigned to at least one show on Recital Day. You will be told the exact show(s) your dancer will perform at in late Spring 2025. Recital assignments are based on a number of factors including class size, dancer ages, expected audience attendance, faculty availability, religious observances, etc. It is an intricate chess game and we do our very best  to assign siblings to the same show when possible, but there is NO Guarantee that we will be able to do so! If you have a known conflict, please make us aware as soon as possible so we can attempt to accommodate you.
  • Dress rehearsals are MANDATORY. There are TWO dress rehearsals after-school the week prior to Recital Day. Each class will be assigned to a dress rehearsal so your dancer may be required to attend one or both of these dress rehearsals. At this time, we recommend reserving BOTH afternoons, and you will be informed of your child's rehearsal day assignment by the spring.

NOTES ABOUT COMPETITIONS:
  • Dance competitions are free and open to the public, we urge all TDA dancers to come and watch/support our teams when the competitions are held locally! We perform all weekend, but do not know exact times until the week of the competition. Check our homepage and Intensive Page for upcoming locations, times and livestreams!
