Julie Joseph is a recent graduate of Brandeis University, where she majored in Psychology and Hispanic Studies. During her time at Brandeis, she was an artistic director, dancer, and choreographer for Dance Ensemble, and an executive board member, dancer, and choreographer for the Adagio Dance Company. She was the artistic director and founder of the Tap Ensemble, and an executive board member of Brandeis's tap club, Hooked on Tap. She has been a choreographer, vice president, and stage manager for the Liquid Latex Festival at Brandeis, where she choreographed the piece “In My Head,” which was written about in the New York Times. She has also preformed as a back-up dancer for SNL comedian Hannibal Buress as a part of his college tour. For the past year, she has been a contributing member of DrumatiX, a drum and tap company, and Sasso and Company, a modern dance company, and has preformed everywhere from The Dance Complex to Broadway.
Since graduating, she has worked as a choreographer for theater with North End Music Production Company, and has become a proud member of the Boston Tap Company. She is excited to continue her dance journey teaching in the Boston area at TDA!
