"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain."
In the challenging and uncertain times of the Covid-19 Pandemic, dance has been a source of joy and connection for our children. We hope to continue that both virtually and in the studio so there is a safe place for EVERY family to dance.

An upgraded Zoom experience and Withdrawal Policy
- Zooming into live class will continue to be an option for everyone. We've installed state-of-the-art plasma screen TV's for those who are zooming in to get the most out of each class. Each TV in each studio will have a high definition camera so kids at home can feel as if they are in the studio with us.
- For virtual dancers, we will be offering office hours with each teacher to ensure that our kids are getting personal support from home if needed!.
- In the event that we have to shut down our in-studio classes, we will continue the regular dance schedule via Zoom. Teachers will be asked to teach from the studio to optimize video quality. We will require a cancellation fee of 1 tuition installation. During the 1 month following your cancellation date, your dancer will be able to take classes via Zoom. After 30 days, your dancer will have the option to stay on virtually or fully withdraw from the program.
COVID-19 HEALTH SAFETY MEASURES
Covid facility updates |
Entrance ways for each studio: |
Parents will NOT be allowed into the building and students will be entering DIRECTLY into the room of their class rather than entering through the front door. Here's what you need to do:
1. Use the attached spreadsheet to find out what studio your child's class is in.
2. Watch this video to find out the correct entrance point for drop off and pick up for that specific room.
What we are doing to keep the studio as low-risk as possible:
1. Use the attached spreadsheet to find out what studio your child's class is in.
2. Watch this video to find out the correct entrance point for drop off and pick up for that specific room.
What we are doing to keep the studio as low-risk as possible:
- Professional cleaning 3X per week.
- Reduced class sizes based on government guidelines.
- Antibacterial spray of high traffic areas, knobs, bathrooms, and surfaces between every class
- Antibacterial cleaning of floors between every class
- Designated entrances and exits for each studio to manage flow of traffic and minimize contact.
- Enhanced ventilation with open doors, windows, loading docks, and fans.
- Multiple hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the facility.
- Each class will be slightly shortened to provide ample cleaning time.
- We will minimize contact with our younger dancers by changing dress code to leggings and tank top.
- Mandatory hand sanitization upon entrance and exit of the building.
- Parents will be required to drop off at the front door or designated studio door and will not be permitted in the building. Please wait outside for a teacher to come get your child to walk them into the building.
- Social distancing will be enforced as we have 6 foot markers throughout the studio in common areas.
- Face masks will be worn by all dancers and staff at all times. Please ensure that your dancers mask fits appropriately and covers both their mouth and nose.
- Each group will stay in their assigned studio for the duration of class. Each group will have their own bathroom assigned to them.
- If a child leaves the room to use the bathroom, their hands will be sanitized when they return to the studio.
- All staff members will be asked screening questions before they begin their teaching shift.
- Any staff member found ill or with symptoms will be immediately sent home and the dance studio will be sanitized from top to bottom. This will take place before any students enter the facility.
- Students or caregivers who exhibit any covid-like symptoms will be dismissed immediately. A family member will be contacted for immediate pick up. The dance studio will be sanitized from top to bottom.
- If a staff member or student tests positive for Covid-19, all dance families will be notified immediately and we will be virtual for at least one day and give the studio a deep clean. If TDA management feels that it is in the best interest of our students and staff’s health safety to close our studio for additional days, we will consider doing so, and will let you know. In this situation, Zoom will be available to all students so that they will not miss any of their classes
- If an immediate family member or someone you reside with has Covid-19 we ask that you notify TDA immediately. The student must quarantine for 14 days and provide negative test before returning back to in person classes. Each case will be assessed by director on the exact details and last time student was in facility. We may choose to close studio and go virtual depending on the case. We will notify families.
- We ask that staff and students traveling follows MA state guidelines before returning back to in studio classes: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order
