Joanie Greenstein grew up in Canton, MA and studied dance with Lisa Kaplan Barbash for 10 years. She then went on to further her dancing career at UMass Amherst where she majored in Dance and minored in Sociology, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. She worked in New York City for three years where she trained and worked at the legendary Ailey School and prestigious Broadway Dance Center. Joanie served as the Events Coordinator for PULSE Productions and toured with the PULSE dance convention for one year, working with highly sought after choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Tyce Diorio, Laurieann Gibson, Dave Scott, Cris Judd and Shane Sparks. She has also volunteered for the world-renowned Mark Morris Dance Group based in Brooklyn, NY and She Figured Dance based in Martha’s Vineyard. Joanie currently resides in Newton, MA and is thrilled to be a part of The Dance Academy of Siagel Productions!
